ClipVision, Ltd. (the “Company”) is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for the people who visit our website. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) is designed to help you understand what information we collect through the Site, how we use and safeguard it, and the choices and rights you have, so that you can make informed decisions when using the Site.
In short:
- The only personal information the Site asks you for is your email address, and only if you choose to join our Waitlist.
- We use your email address solely to tell you about product launches and early access, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- The Site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking technologies, and the Site itself sets no cookies.
- We do not sell or share your personal information.
- Our products, such as Inoue AI, have their own privacy policies.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy:
- “Site” refers to the Company’s website, which can be accessed at https://clipvision.ai/.
- “Waitlist” refers to the optional sign-up form on the Site that lets you ask to receive updates about the launch of, and early access to, Company products.
- “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you as an individual.
- The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Company.
- “You” refers to you, as a visitor to or user of the Site.
Please read this Privacy Policy together with our Terms of Service and our Cookie Policy.
ClipVision, Ltd. is a Delaware C-Corporation with its registered office at 651 N Broad Street, Suite 201, Middletown, DE 19709, United States. The Company is responsible for the Personal Information processed through the Site as described in this Privacy Policy and, where data protection laws use the term, is its “controller.”
This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through the Site. It does not apply to:
- Our products. Inoue AI and other Company products are offered through their own websites and applications and are covered by their own privacy policies (see Section 10).
- Third-party websites and services that the Site links to, such as our social media pages (see Section 11).
We aim to collect as little Personal Information as possible. The Site does not offer user accounts, does not process payments and does not ask for any information other than what is described below.
Waitlist. If you choose to join the Waitlist, we collect:
- your email address;
- the date and time you signed up; and
- where available, a short source label recording which part of the Site you signed up from (for example, the main sign-up form).
Joining the Waitlist is optional, and you can use the Site without providing any Personal Information.
Communications with us. If you email us, we receive your email address, any other contact details you choose to include and the content of your message.
As with any website, when your browser requests a page or file from the Site it automatically sends certain technical information. This request data includes your IP address, your browser’s user agent (which describes your browser type and version and your operating system), the date and time of the request, the page or file requested and, if your browser provides it, the address of the page that linked you to the Site (the “referring URL”).
This request data is processed transiently by our web server and by our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, Inc. (“Cloudflare”), so that the Site can be delivered to you and protected against attacks, spam, fraud and other abuse. Our Waitlist service also uses your IP address temporarily to limit repeated sign-up attempts (rate limiting); your IP address is not stored with your Waitlist entry.
We do not use request data to identify you, to build a profile about you or to track you across other websites.
The Site uses no analytics, advertising, social media pixels or other tracking technologies, and the Site itself does not set cookies or store information in your browser (for example, in local storage). Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the Site against malicious traffic. Our Cookie Policy describes these cookies and how you can control them.
Because we do not track visitors, the Site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal: every visitor is already treated as having opted out of the sale and sharing of Personal Information.
We use Personal Information only for the purposes described below. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation or the UK General Data Protection Regulation (together, the “GDPR”) applies, we also state the legal basis on which we rely.
- To send you Waitlist updates. We use your email address to tell you about the launch of, and early access to, Company products. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see Section 8).
- To respond to you. When you contact us, we use the information you send to reply and to handle your request. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries, or taking steps at your request.
- To operate and secure the Site. We use request data to deliver the Site, keep it secure, prevent spam, fraud and abuse (including automated Waitlist sign-ups) and diagnose technical problems. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights. We may use Personal Information where necessary to comply with applicable law or a lawful request from a public authority, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Legal basis: compliance with our legal obligations and our legitimate interest in protecting our rights.
We do not use Personal Information for advertising, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects for you.
We do not sell, rent or trade your Personal Information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes or for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose Personal Information only as follows:
- Service providers. We use Cloudflare to deliver and protect the Site, and we may use other service providers to host our systems or to send Waitlist emails on our behalf. These providers act as our service providers (or “processors”): they may use Personal Information only to provide their services to us, on our instructions and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You can read Cloudflare’s own privacy policy on its website.
- Legal requirements and protection. We may share Personal Information with outside parties if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to meet any applicable law, legal process or enforceable governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations; to address fraud, security or technical concerns; or to protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of our users or the public as required or permitted by law.
- Business transfers. In the event we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred. Such transfers are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and any acquirer of our assets may continue to process your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
- Waitlist entries. We keep your email address, sign-up date and time and source label until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Request data. Request data is processed transiently to deliver and protect the Site. Where our web server records it in logs for security and troubleshooting, those logs are kept only for a short period and then deleted. Cloudflare retains request data in accordance with its agreement with us and its own data retention practices.
- Correspondence. We keep emails you send us for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and any follow-up.
We may keep information for longer where the law requires it or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We implement security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include encrypting all traffic to and from the Site with HTTPS (TLS), routing traffic through Cloudflare’s network so that our servers are not directly exposed to the public internet, and restricting access to Waitlist data to personnel who need it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, and these measures cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by a breach of our safeguards. If a security incident affects your Personal Information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires us to do so.
ClipVision, Ltd. is a United States company. Your information may be transferred to, stored in and processed in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Cloudflare, for example, operates a global network, so request data may be processed in a data center close to you. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. Where we transfer Personal Information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland to a country that is not recognized as providing an adequate level of protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and their UK and Swiss equivalents in our agreements with service providers, or on another transfer mechanism permitted by law.
You have the right at any time to stop us from contacting you. Every Waitlist email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe or ask us to delete your Waitlist entry by emailing [email protected] from the email address you signed up with. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before you withdrew it.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- access the Personal Information we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- correct Personal Information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your Personal Information;
- object to our processing of your Personal Information, or ask us to restrict it; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
If the GDPR or the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies to you, you also have the right to data portability (to receive the Personal Information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format) and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work or where you believe an infringement has occurred. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”), may give you the right to:
- know what Personal Information we collect, use and disclose about you, and obtain a copy of it;
- delete Personal Information we have collected from you;
- correct inaccurate Personal Information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information (we do not sell or share Personal Information, as those terms are defined in the CCPA);
- limit the use of sensitive Personal Information (we do not collect sensitive Personal Information through the Site); and
- not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
For CCPA purposes, the categories of Personal Information we collect through the Site are identifiers (your email address and IP address) and internet or other electronic network activity information (your browser’s user agent and details of your requests to the Site). We collect them directly from you and from your browser, for the purposes described in Section 3; we disclose them for business purposes only to the service providers described in Section 4; and we keep them for the periods described in Section 5. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask the agent for proof of their authorization and ask you to verify your identity directly with us.
Residents of certain other US states may have similar rights under their state’s privacy laws, including the right to appeal a decision we make about their request.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy request,” preferably from the email address your request relates to. To protect your information, we may need to verify your identity before acting on your request, for example by confirming that you control that email address. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (for example, within one month under the GDPR or within 45 days under the CCPA), and we will not charge you for making a request unless the law allows it because the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. If we decline your request, we will explain why; where applicable law gives you a right to appeal, you can do so by replying to our response.
The Site is not directed to anyone under the age of 16. The Site does not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from anyone under the age of 16, or allow anyone under the age of 16 to join the Waitlist. In the event that we learn that we have gathered Personal Information from anyone under the age of 16, we will delete that information as soon as possible. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at [email protected].
Inoue AI and other Company products are separate services offered through their own websites and applications. When you use them, they may collect different or additional information (for example, account details and content you create), and that information is governed by the privacy policy of the product you use, not by this Privacy Policy. For Inoue AI, please see the Inoue AI Privacy Policy at https://inoue.app/legal/privacy. Product sign-in links on the Site take you to the product’s own website.
The Site contains links to other websites and services, such as our products, our community and social media pages (for example, Discord, Instagram and X) and the websites of companies we mention. We are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through the Site, so it does not apply to your use of a third-party website accessed by selecting a link on the Site. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of other websites before using them.
The Company reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update its “Last updated” date. We will notify you of significant changes by sending a notice to the email address you provided to the Waitlist (if any) or by placing a prominent notice on the Site. Significant changes will go into effect 30 days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. You should periodically check this page for updates.
